Have you ever felt invisible, unappreciated, and unseen?
If you have, then you are not alone. The Holy Spirit recently said to me “If no one else is watching, I’m watching.” I was having one of those moments where I was feeling unseen and unappreciated like all of my hard work was for nothing. As I thought to myself ‘What’s the point’, He spoke those words to me, reminding me that He is all-knowing and all-seeing.
My reply was “Once you’re watching and are pleased, nothing else matters.”
All Lies
Nobody cares, nobody sees you, nobody appreciates you, nobody loves you, just quit. These are the words that the devil often whispers in our ears to cause us to give up. Give up on our call, assignment, God, and even give up on life itself. But the devil is a liar and will always be a liar.
In the book of Genesis, God revealed Himself to Hagar as JEHOVAH EL-ROI in the wilderness.
So Hagar gave this name to the LORD who had spoken to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “Here I have seen the One who sees me!- Genesis 16:13
God showed His loving-kindness towards Hagar by providing a spring of water in the wilderness to sustain her and blessed her unborn child. Nobody else could have done this. Hagar was a slave and as insignificant and alone as she must have felt, she wasn’t alone and she wasn’t insignificant to God.
The Truth
No matter how you may be feeling right now, remember that You’re not insignificant.
If no one else sees you, God sees you.
If no one else loves you, God loves you.
If no one else knows you, God knows you.
If no one hears you, God hears you.
If no one else cares about you, God cares about you.
You matter to God. Your calling, assignment, and life matter to Him.
God sees your sacrifice and He’ll reward you.
Let God’s approval be all that you seek. Once He’s pleased nothing else matters.
